Actor-producer Shweta Tripathi has been selected as the recipient of the WIF India x Gold House Scholarship and will represent WIF India at the Gold House Pitch during the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival.
Tripathi will present her debut feature as a producer, Mujhe Jaan Na Kaho Meri Jaan, at the Gold House Pitch, which brings together selected filmmakers with producers, financiers, executives and industry leaders.
According to WIF India, Tripathi is the first filmmaker from India to present at the Gold House Pitch. The scholarship programme was created to select one woman filmmaker from India to represent WIF India at the event.
Mujhe Jaan Na Kaho Meri Jaan is directed by Sanjoy Nag and features Tripathi and Tillotama Shome. The project is a queer love story and marks Tripathi’s move into feature-film production.
The scholarship includes participation in the Gold House Pitch, pitch preparation and guidance from WIF India, access to Gold House and TIFF industry networking opportunities, as well as return airfare, accommodation and official festival accreditation.
