Carol Minêm

Carol Minêm is a Brazilian director with more than 20 years of experience in audiovisual. In 2026, she released the feature film (Un)control, directed with Rosane Svartman. A critical and box office success, the work was selected for the Havana International Film Festival and the Festival do Rio, in addition to standing out at LABRFF Orlando 2026, where it won the awards for Best Director, Best Film, Best Screenplay, and Best Actress. She also directed the critically acclaimed miniseries Máscaras de Oxigênio (Não) Cairão Automaticamente, directed with Marcelo Gomes and released in 2025. The production gained national and international recognition, winning Best Fiction Series and the Youth Jury Award at the Valencia International Film Festival, alongside receiving honorary mentions. It was voted Best Series of 2025 at the Melhores do Ano awards, the APCA Awards, and the Grande Otelo Awards by the Brazilian Academy of Cinema, and was part of the Berlinale Series Market at the Berlin International Film Festival. For Netflix, she directed the miniseries The Endless Night. The project reached the position of the 6th most-watched non-English series globally in 2023, topped the Top 1 chart in Brazil, and received a Platino Award nomination for Best Series. Also for the platform, she directed episodes of the series B.O. For Disney+, she directed episodes of The King of TV. Her upcoming projects include co-directing the feature film Confessions of a Brazilian Call Girl 2 alongside Marcus Baldini, with a release scheduled for 2027.
