Payal Sethi’s Kurinji has been selected for the Venice Gap-Financing Market 2026, one of the film industry’s leading co-production and financing platforms held alongside the Venice International Film Festival.
The project is among 66 projects chosen for this year’s edition of the market. Organised by La Biennale di Venezia, the Venice Gap-Financing Market brings together carefully selected fiction, documentary and immersive projects with international financiers, producers, sales agents, distributors and festival representatives to facilitate financing and international partnerships.
Kurinji is listed in the Fiction section of the official selection. It is an international co-production between India, France and Germany, with Payal Sethi attached as director.
The 2026 edition of the Venice Gap-Financing Market will present projects from around the world seeking completion financing and co-production opportunities, reinforcing its role as a key launchpad for internationally ambitious independent cinema.
