Two Indian projects have been selected for the 2026 Asian Project Market (APM), the flagship co-production and financing platform of the Busan International Film Festival, marking another strong showing for Indian independent cinema on the international stage.
Tribeny Geeta Rai’s Chronicles of Minor Things (working title) and Dominic Sangma’s Veil of Dust are among the projects selected for this year’s market. According to the organisers, the final selection was made from more than 640 submissions from around the world.
Held alongside the Busan International Film Festival, the Asian Project Market brings together producers, financiers, sales agents, distributors, broadcasters, streaming platforms and festival programmers to help filmmakers secure international partners and financing. It is widely regarded as one of Asia’s most important project markets and has played a significant role in the development of numerous internationally acclaimed films.
Tribeny Geeta Rai has emerged as one of India’s distinctive new filmmaking voices, while Dominic Sangma’s previous work has earned recognition at major international festivals. Their selection highlights the continued presence of Indian independent cinema in Asia’s leading co-production forums.
The 2026 Asian Project Market will take place during the 31st Busan International Film Festival, where the selected teams will present their projects to industry professionals from around the world.
